General Information
Dates, venue and the practical details of race weekend on Bintan.
Bintan Triathlon 2026 runs from 2 – 4 October 2026 at the Lagoi Bay Area, Bintan Resorts, with racing on the 3rd and 4th October 2026.
The swim, bike and run all take place around Lagoi Bay on the island of Bintan.
Yes. Participants are advised to pack light and refrain from bringing too many valuables.
There will be toilets available at the main event site.
Yes, there will be.
Yes. The Transition Area will be available to leave your bicycles overnight.
Please ensure that you protect and waterproof your bike beforehand.
Your provisional results will be available upon finishing your race on the Results page.

No. Please note that you will have to bring your own bicycle.
Yes, however only one parent or guardian is allowed in at any one time before the race starts.
Parents and guardians must exit the transition zone once the wave is flagged off, and are not allowed within the transition zone at any other point.
Yes. Parents and guardians will find an additional wrist tag in the race kit. The wrist tag must be shown to security to gain access.

No. Race kits must be collected personally by the registered participant. A representative cannot collect the race kit on behalf of another participant.
No. Collection onsite on the actual race day will not be allowed.
Registrations are final and non-refundable.

No. Race slots cannot be transferred to another person.
Yes. Upgrades are allowed and require payment of the price difference.
Downgrades are not allowed.
Triathlon Information
Equipment, cut-off times and how the race is run across the swim, bike and run.
Allowed: foldies, road bikes, mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, TT bikes and aero bars.
Not allowed: fixed wheel bikes and fat wheel bikes.
Yes. Each category has its own cut-off:

Cut-off times are generally enforced on a case-by-case basis or for safety reasons.
Once the sweeper is deployed, participants must stop racing and return to the event site via the official race vehicle.
There are ten categories across race weekend: Olympic, Olympic Relay, Sprint, Sprint Relay, Standard Duathlon, Sprint Duathlon, Youth, Kids, Splash & Dash and Family Duo.
Olympic Relay, Sprint Relay and Family Duo are raced as a team; the rest are individual entries.
